Marie Wilkinson, BSc, Dip Nur Sc, RN, RM
I'm the newest member of the Birth Partnerships midwifery team - moving to Calgary with my family from England in 2002.
Having qualified as a midwife 12 years ago, and as a registered nurse 14 years ago, I have had the opportunity to develop a broad range of experience in the care of women and their families before, during and after their pregnancy. This includes working both in England and Canada as a midwife, nurse, researcher, educator and manager in women's health services.
I have three sons, Daryll, Greg and Tino aged 23, 21 and 8, and met my husband, Michael, whilst we were in nurse training together. Moving to Canada has been a great experience in many ways, not least the recent opportunity to move into the countryside just north of Okotoks. When I am not working, I enjoy walking my three dogs Masie, Flea and Pan.
