Becoming a Midwife: Information Sessions
If you are interested in becoming a midwife, please come and join Jane and Nadine from Birth Partnership for an evening of questions and discussion.
Some topics of possible discussion may include: academic programs, process to registration, preceptor relationships and important steps to further your education, including what you can do today. Our evening may also include clinical case discussions or assistance with midwifery course curriculum you are currently completing.
We are happy to follow the needs of the group and discuss any burning questions you may have. Come with your top 3 goals for the evening and we will do our best to support you on your journey.
- You must pre register with Nadine via email at least 2 days before the class. (PLEASE do not call the clinic or the midwives pagers for information)
- Maximum 15 participants in a class.
- Late registrations will only be accepted if there is availability.
- Pre registration details must include: name and telephone number where you can be reached (this is in case we have 2 or more babies coming at once and need to cancel the class unexpectedly).
- Cancellation policy: Any withdrawals will not be refunded, unless 48 hours notice is given, via email. If the class is cancelled due to Jane and Nadine attending births, or another unforeseen reason on the facilitators' part, the participant will have the option of a full refund or a make-up class will be offered.
- Cost for the evening is $50.00 per person. Cash or cheque is accepted.
- Payment can be mailed or dropped at 6628 Crowchild Tr SW Calgary. Payment must arrive prior to the class to ensure your reserved spot.
- Location of the class will be emailed once registrations are confirmed.
- Attendance at the class does not guarantee a preceptorship.
