Christy LeBlanc, RM

I was a registered midwife in Ontario for four years and began working at Birth Partnership in the fall of 2007. Moving back to Calgary has allowed me to reconnect with my family and building new relationships within my community.

When I am not working I am traveling. I love to explore new places and have many fond memories from my travels. I speak a little Spanish and love to surf. It is not unusual for me to try and combine the two pastimes.

I believe in giving back and building good communities. I have had the opportunity to be able to do some volunteering in Mexico and hope to volunteer on a broader scale in the near future.

I graduated from Ryerson Polytechnic University in 2003 with a bachelor of science in Midwifery. My first birth that I attended was in 1996 and I have been passionate about my practice ever since. I love children and feel fortunate to have the opportunity to meet them when they are coming into the world. I am always amazed and empowered by the strength of women and do everything within my abilities to foster the best birth possible for women in my care. I feel extremely fortunate to be practicing in Calgary, and look forward to fostering relationships with fellow Albertans.

Thank you for the opportunity to allowing me to being involved in your care.
